Next Shift Hockey is a fast-paced youth hockey event format where players rotate through short, high-energy shifts against multiple teams in a single session. Every shift matters. Every goal changes the standings.
Players rotate every minute to keep the pace high.
Teams face different opponents throughout the session.
Score a goal and your team gets +1. Get scored on and your team gets −1.
Less waiting. More touches. More competition.
The inaugural event divisions will be determined based on player interest and demand.
As a hockey player and hockey parent, I've spent countless hours at rinks watching kids compete, develop, and fall in love with the game.
I created Next Shift Hockey because I believe players deserve more than long waits between games and limited puck touches. The goal is simple: create an experience that keeps players engaged, competing, and having fun every minute they're on the ice.
